Jillian Suzanne (aka Puss in Bootz) is an active artist of both illustration and fine art, with a passion for creating characters that are whimsical and darkly humourous.

Graduating on an accelerated schedule, Jillian received a BFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Jillian then spent a few years in San Francisco sinking her teeth into everything she found inspiring; from fine art to print design to faux painting and restoration. Upon returning to Los Angeles, Jillian established her studio at the Brewery Arts Colony from 2001 to 2010. Here she developed her character and abstract painting, as well as, working in the film industry.

Jumping on another adventure, Jillian has just recently moved across country to the East Coast, where she continues to create new work including character design and illustrations for children's books.

Jillian's artwork has been shown and sold at the Brewery's bi-annual Art Walks, as well as various galleries and art events within Los Angeles including Regent Gallery, LACMA ArtWalk, Empire Gallery, Hive Gallery, Sothebys.com, and Barnsdall Gallery.

Outside of galleries, Jillian has collaborated with many professional creatives who have exhibited and commissioned her work for various projects such as books, advertisements, commercials, and films.

Over the years, Jillian has enjoyed the pleasure of working with prestigious clients including Disney, MTV, The Simpson's, The Food Network, Warner Cable, Victoria's Secret, Covergirl and Kodak.

Most recently, Jillian has been illustrating Children's Books and Cautionary Tales for H2U located in Thun, Switzerland. Her 5th book, commissioned to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the famous Swiss landmark store Loeb, has just been released Nov. 2011.
